Domestic Stainless Steel Pipe Imports in June 2024
In June 2024, the domestic import volume of stainless steel pipes was approximately 4,067 tonnes, a decrease of 370 tonnes (down 8.3%) month-on-month, and a decrease of 806 tonnes (down 16.5%) year-on-year.
From January to June 2024, the cumulative import volume of domestic stainless steel pipes was approximately 29,600 tonnes, an increase of 1,261 tonnes (up 4.5%) year-on-year.

Domestic Stainless Steel Pipe Exports in June 2024
In June 2024, the domestic export volume of stainless steel pipes was approximately 67,900 tonnes (a new high since 2017), an increase of 6,000 tonnes (up 9.7%) month-on-month, and an increase of 7,800 tonnes (up 13%) year-on-year.
From January to June 2024, the cumulative export volume of domestic stainless steel pipes was approximately 333,700 tonnes, an increase of 34,200 tonnes (up 11.41%) year-on-year.

Net Export Value of Stainless Steel Pipes in June 2024
In June 2024, the net export volume of stainless steel pipes was approximately 63,900 tonnes (a new high since 2017), an increase of 11.06% month-on-month, and an increase of 15.63% year-on-year. From January to June 2024, the cumulative net export volume of stainless steel pipes was approximately 304,100 tonnes, an increase of 12.13% year-on-year.
Top Five Import Regions
In June, the import volume of pipes showed a significant increase. Domestic stainless steel pipe imports were mainly from Japan, Italy, and Germany. In June 2024, the import volume from these three regions was 2,543 tonnes, accounting for 62.53% of the total domestic import volume. The top five regions accounted for 2,954 tonnes, or 72.6% of the total domestic import volume.
From January to June 2024, the cumulative import volume from these three regions was approximately 18,000 tonnes, accounting for 60.8% of the total domestic import volume. The top five regions accounted for approximately 21,700 tonnes, or 73.4% of the total domestic import volume.
