According to incomplete statistics from Chengjiu, currently, the regions imposing anti-dumping and countervailing duties on Chinese stainless steel include the EU, the US, South Korea, Mexico, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, Malaysia, India, and others. The involved stainless steel products include hot-rolled and cold-rolled stainless steel coils, welded pipe fittings, flanges, seamless pipes, welded pipes, sinks, etc.
Stainless steel coil products dominate China’s stainless steel exports, accounting for over 70% of the total export volume. Among them, cold-rolled exports are predominant, accounting for 56.7% of the total stainless steel export volume. Therefore, foreign trade barriers against Chinese stainless steel exports mainly target cold-rolled stainless steel coils.

It is noteworthy that in the first half of this year, Brazil expanded its previously imposed anti-dumping duty on 0.35mm ≤ thickness ≤ 4.75mm flat austenitic 304 (304, 304L, and 304H) stainless steel and cold-rolled ferritic 430 stainless steel to now include 0.35mm ≤ thickness ≤ 4.75mm 200 series and 410 cold-rolled stainless steel thin sheets.
