August Stainless Steel Production Estimates
According to Chengjiu‘s statistics, the estimated crude steel production from 43 domestic stainless steel mills in August 2024 reached 3.3513 million tons, an increase of 43,100 tons month-on-month, reflecting a 1.3% growth. This represents a 2.95% year-on-year increase. The breakdown is as follows:
- 200 series: 1.0182 million tons, up by 8,000 tons month-on-month, an increase of 0.79%, with a year-on-year rise of 0.48%.
- 300 series: 1.6865 million tons, an increase of 50,600 tons month-on-month, up by 3.09%, though down by 3.62% year-on-year.
- 400 series: 646,600 tons, down by 15,500 tons month-on-month, a decrease of 2.34%, but up by 31.37% year-on-year.
September Crude Steel Production Forecast
The crude steel production forecast for September is 3.3757 million tons, reflecting a 0.73% month-on-month increase and a 5.89% year-on-year rise. The details are as follows:
- 200 series: 1.0412 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 2.26%, and a year-on-year increase of 6.28%.
- 300 series: 1.6901 million tons, up by 0.21% month-on-month, but down by 0.08% year-on-year.
- 400 series: 644,400 tons, a slight month-on-month decrease of 0.34%, but a significant year-on-year increase of 24.74%.
