On September 25, 2024, the Eurasian Economic Commission‘s Internal Market Protection Department announced the initiation of the first sunset review anti-dumping investigation on seamless steel pipes originating from China, following requests from Eurasian Economic Union enterprises. This investigation, launched under Order No. 5 of the Internal Market Protection Department, targets seamless corrosion-resistant stainless steel pipes with an outer diameter not exceeding 650 mm. The relevant tariff codes for these products in the Eurasian Economic Union are 7304491000, 7304499301, 7304499309, 7304499501, 7304499509, and 7304499900.

The original anti-dumping investigation into seamless steel pipes from China began on September 4, 2018. On September 17, 2019, the Eurasian Economic Commission issued a positive final ruling, recommending a 15.50% anti-dumping duty on the affected products. According to Resolution No. 218 of the Eurasian Economic Commission, this duty has been in effect since February 1, 2020, and will remain until January 31, 2025.
